Date:2024-01-02 10:40:45 Classification :【question】 Visits:
Stationery usually refers to some modern stationery commonly used in offices: signature pens, fountain pens, pens, pencils, ballpoint pens, etc. Stationery exported to the EU needs to meet REACH testing requirements. REACH testing is the European Union's regulation for the supervision of chemical substances imported and sold in the EU. It applies to all chemical substances produced and sold in the EU, including chemical substances that may be contained in stationery.

Stationery EU REACH Testing Guide:

1. Determine the detection range: First, you need to determine the detection range, including the detected substances, concentrations, usage methods, etc.

2. Choose a testing institution: Choosing a qualified testing institution can ensure the accuracy and reliability of the testing results.

3. Submit an application: Submit an application to the testing agency and provide relevant product information and materials.

4. Sample testing: The testing agency will conduct sample testing of the applied products, including testing of product composition, toxicity, environmental protection and other aspects.

5. Report issuance: The testing agency will issue a report based on the test results and give corresponding suggestions and measures.

6. Conformity assessment: Based on the results in the report, the product will be assessed for conformity. If it complies with relevant regulations and standards, it can enter the EU market.

7. Regular inspections: For products that have entered the EU market, regular inspections are required to ensure the safety and compliance of the products.

The EU REACH testing items are very extensive. According to the characteristics of different products, the content of the REACH testing items is also different.

REACH testing items mainly include:

1. Organic compound testing: An important part of the REACH testing project is the testing of organic compounds, especially those substances with persistence, bioaccumulation, reproductive toxicity, endocrine disrupting properties or carcinogenicity. These substances are classified as Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC).

2. Heavy metal detection: Heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium, chromium, etc. may be used in the stationery manufacturing process, so they are also the focus of REACH testing.

3. Detection of polymers and other high-molecular substances: REACH testing will also inspect polymers and other high-molecular substances used in stationery to ensure the safety of these substances.

4. Detection of adhesives, dyes, coatings, etc.: These substances are often used in the stationery manufacturing process, so they are also the focus of REACH testing.

5. Testing of packaging materials and auxiliary materials: REACH testing will also inspect the packaging materials and auxiliary materials of stationery to ensure the safety of these materials.
