Date:2024-09-06 10:48:03 Classification :【question】 Visits:
The RoHS Directive is a mandatory standard established by EU legislation. It is the "Directive on Restricting the Use of Certain Hazardous Ingredients in Electronic and Electrical Equipment." As a material, wood wool board usually needs to follow the following if it is to be tested for EU ROHS. process:

1. Understand the requirements of the ROHS Directive: First, you need to have a detailed understanding of the product range covered by the ROHS Directive, the types of restricted hazardous substances and their limit values.

2. Choose a qualified testing agency: Choose an accredited third-party testing agency to conduct ROHS testing of the product.

3. Prepare samples: Prepare corresponding product samples according to the requirements of the testing agency. Samples need to be sufficiently representative of the entire product line to enable a comprehensive assessment of hazardous substance content.

4. Submit application: Submit an application to the selected testing agency and pay the relevant fees.

5. Wait for the test results: The testing agency will test your product samples to confirm whether they comply with the ROHS directive.

6. Obtain a ROHS compliance statement: If the product is qualified, the testing agency will issue a ROHS compliance statement, which indicates that the product complies with the relevant provisions of the ROHS directive.

7. Mark the product: Mark the ROHS mark on the product to indicate that the product has obtained ROHS certification.

8. Maintain Records: Retain all test records and compliance statements for future inquiries or audits.

Common testing items of ROHS testing include the content of six hazardous substances including lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr6+), polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs). Each substance has specific limits, such as 100ppm for cadmium and 1000ppm for lead (some alloy materials have higher limits).

Please note that ROHS certification is an ongoing process and you may need to regularly update your product information and test results to ensure that you are always compliant with the latest safety standards. At the same time, due to the constant changes in regulations and standards, it is recommended that you pay close attention to relevant regulatory updates and take corresponding measures in a timely manner.
