RoHS is a mandatory standard established by EU legislation. Its full name is "Restriction of Hazardous Substances" (Restriction of Hazardous Substances). Electric heaters exported to the EU require RoHS certification. .
Process for applying for RoHS certification:
1. Fill in the certification application form: Enterprises need to submit the RoHS certification application form to the certification agency to clarify product information and certification requirements.
2. Arrange to send test samples: According to the requirements of the certification agency, prepare the corresponding electric heater samples and send them to the certification agency for testing.
3. Sign the contract and make payment: Sign a contract with the certification agency and pay the corresponding certification fees.
4. Start testing after receiving samples and payment: After receiving samples and payment, the certification agency will start testing the electric heater samples for harmful substances.
5. Confirm the certificate draft information: After the test is completed, the certification agency will provide the certificate draft information for the enterprise to confirm.
6. Issuance of conformity report and certificate: After confirmation, the certification body will issue a qualified RoHS test report and certificate.
Test items include lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), hexavalent chromium (Cr6+), polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), and diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) , content detection of harmful substances such as 2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and tolylbutyl phthalate (BBP).
The entire testing cycle generally takes 4-7 working days to issue a report after receiving the sample. Through RoHS certification, electric heater products can prove that they comply with the EU's requirements for restrictions on hazardous substances in electronic and electrical products, helping to smoothly enter the EU market.
