What items does Amazon CPC detect for electronic toys?

Date:2024-11-26 13:48:35 Classification :【question】 Visits:
As a category of children's products, electronic toys do require Amazon CPC testing. CPC certification applies to all products primarily targeted at children aged 12 and under, including electronic toys.

Electronic toys need to undergo CPC testing when sold on Amazon. The main testing items include:

1. Physical and mechanical performance testing: This part of the testing mainly ensures that the structure of the electronic toy is stable, durable and not prone to danger during use. This includes testing corners, small parts, etc. of toys to prevent children from swallowing or choking.

2. Chemical substance testing: The goal of this part of the test is to ensure that electronic toys do not contain chemicals that are harmful to children, including harmful heavy metals, allergenic substances, etc. For example, chemicals such as total lead and phthalates, which are common in many electronic toys, require strict limit testing.

3. Combustion performance test: Electronic toys are not easy to catch fire or ignite other items during use, which is very important for preventing fires and burns. Therefore, CPC certification will also require testing of the flammability of electronic toys.

4. Safety standards for electric toys: According to 16 CFR Part 1505, electric toys need to meet specific safety standards.

5. CPSIA total lead and phthalates: According to CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act), electronic toys must be tested for total lead content and phthalate content to ensure that the content of these harmful substances is within legal limits.

6. ASTM F963 American Toy Standard: This is a series of standards for toy safety in the United States. Electronic toys need to comply with the relevant provisions of the ASTM F963 standard.

7. Small parts testing: According to 16 CFR Part 1501, small parts in toys need to be tested to ensure that there are no small parts that pose a choking risk to children.

These testing items ensure the safety and compliance of electronic toys and protect the health and safety of children.
