China's national standard GB6675 is a series of specifications for "Toy Safety". It is a national mandatory standard aimed at ensuring the safety of toys for children under 14 years old. According to the Chinese national standard GB6675-2014 "Toy Safety" and the latest implementation requirements (as of 2025), the testing process for plastic toys is as follows:
I. Preliminary preparation stage
1. Product classification confirmation
- Determine the applicable age group of the toy (such as 0-3 years old/3-14 years old)
- Clarify whether it contains electronic components (need to comply with the GB19865 standard in addition)
2. Sample preparation
- Quantity: 3 sets of complete samples (including packaging, instructions, accessories)
- Material list: The materials of each component must be marked (such as ABS, PVC, TPE, etc.)
3. Document preparation
- Application form (including product name, model, manufacturer information)
- Design drawings, circuit schematics (electronic toys need to provide)
II. Testing implementation process
Step 1: Entrust the testing agency
- Select a laboratory with CNAS (China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment) qualifications (such as: Dezewei DTI)
- Sign a service contract (specify the test items, cycle, and fees)
Step 2: Send samples for testing
Step 3: Laboratory test cycle
- Conventional items: 5-7 working days (physical + chemical basic tests)
- Expedited service: 3 working days (additional fees)
