I. Applicable Core Standards

The standard clearly specifies the migration limits for lead and cadmium. II. Testing Procedure

Ceramic airtight containers are deep containers, and their testing conditions differ from those for shallow containers. It is necessary to first confirm the product category. The core test targets the inner wall, which comes into direct contact with food, focusing on the migration levels of heavy metals such as lead and cadmium.
2. Sample Preparation and Supporting Documents
Samples: Samples should be intact, clean, and undamaged. Multiple samples are required for retesting; the quantity depends on the testing items.
Supporting Documents: Product characteristic information, such as glaze type and decorative techniques, is required to help the testing agency select appropriate testing methods.
3. Selecting a Qualified Testing Agency and Submitting an Application
You can choose an agency with testing qualifications according to GB4806.4-2016, such as Dezewei Testing (CNAS registration number: L8083).
When submitting the application, you must complete the testing application form, clearly indicating that the testing basis is GB4806.4-2016, selecting core testing items such as lead and cadmium migration, and submitting the samples and supporting documents. You must also confirm the testing timeframe and report format.
4. Sample Testing and Report Issuance
The testing agency will conduct migration tests simulating a food contact environment, using precision instruments to determine the amount of heavy metal migration to confirm compliance with standard limits. Upon completion of the test, a formal test report will be issued, including the test methods, conditions, results, and compliance conclusions. This report, with CMA/CNAS accreditation, can be used for market access, product promotion, and other purposes.

Testing conditions vary for ceramic products of different shapes and uses; the specific test requirements for the sealed container must be clarified in advance.
Samples must be protected from contamination and damage, as this will affect the accuracy of the test results.
