1、 Why do leather products need to undergo REACH testing
Leather products (such as leather shoes, leather bags, leather jackets, leather gloves, belts, car seat leather, etc.) exported to the EU market must undergo REACH testing. The dyes, tanning agents, and finishing agents used in the production process of leather may contain harmful chemicals to the human body, such as azo dyes, formaldehyde, hexavalent chromium, phthalates, etc. The REACH regulation requires these substances to be controlled within safety limits, otherwise the product will be banned from sale in the EU or recalled.
