RoHS 10-item test report for range hoods in China

Date:2026-08-11 10:04:37 Classification :【question】 Visits:
Range hoods are classified as Category 8 products in China's RoHS 2026 compliance management catalog and must undergo strict testing for ten hazardous substances in accordance with GB26572-2025 standard. The following are detailed testing requirements and reporting instructions:

China RoHS Ten Hazardous Substances and Limits (Applicable to Range Hoods)

According to GB 26572-2025 standard, range hoods need to be tested for the following 10 hazardous substances, with the following limits:

| No. | Hazardous Substance Name | Limit (Weight Percentage) | Applicable Material Type

| 1 | Lead (Pb) | ≤0.1% | All Materials (except Exemptions)

| 2 | Mercury (Hg) | ≤0.1% | All Materials (except Exemptions)

| 3 | Cadmium (Cd) | ≤0.01% | All Materials (except Exemptions)

| 4 | Hexavalent Chromium (Cr(VI)) | ≤0.1% | All Materials (except Exemptions)

| 5 | Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBBs) | ≤0.1% | Plastics, Rubber, Coatings, etc.

| 6 | Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) | ≤0.1% | Plastics, rubber, coatings, etc.

| 7 | Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) | ≤0.1% | Plastics, rubber, coatings, adhesives, etc.

| 8 | Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) | ≤0.1% | Plastics, rubber, coatings, adhesives, etc.

| 9 | Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) | ≤0.1% | Plastics, rubber, coatings, adhesives, etc.

| 10 | Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) | ≤0.1% | Plastics, rubber, coatings, adhesives, etc.

Core Requirements for RoHS Testing Reports for Range Hoods

1. Sample Disassembly Principles: The range hood must be disassembled into different material components for separate testing, mainly including:

Metal components (shell, duct, motor, etc.)

Plastic components (control panel, impeller, oil cup, etc.)

Electronic components (circuit board, wires, switches, etc.)

Auxiliary materials (adhesives, coatings, rubber seals, etc.)

2. Report Content Requirements:

Clearly indicate the range hood's model, batch, production date, and manufacturer information.

List the specific test values and judgment results for all tested substances (whether they meet the limits).

Indicate the testing method standard used (must comply with GB/T 39560 series standards).

The testing institution must possess relevant qualifications such as CNAS and CMA (Dezewei Testing CNAS registration number: L8083).

3. Special Exemption Circumstances: If certain components of the range hood meet the exemption clauses in GB 26572-2025 standard, an exemption from testing can be applied for, but this must be clearly stated in the report and relevant supporting materials must be provided.

Implementation Time and Transition Period

GB 26572-2025 standard will officially come into effect on August 1, 2027.

Range hoods manufactured before August 1, 2027 can continue to be sold and used without needing to be tested according to the new standard.

From August 1, 2027, all range hoods sold in the Chinese market must meet the requirements of the new standard and provide corresponding test reports.

If needed, I can help you compile a specific list of exemptions for RoHS testing of range hoods. Would you like me to do that for you?
