Electronic cigarette is an electronic product that imitates cigarettes, which changes nicotine into steam through atomization to allow users to smoke, mainly composed of three parts: cigarette pipe, atomizer and battery, which can make users feel like smoking cigarettes. The UK Food and Drug Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has issued a licence certificate for an e-cigarette to be recognised as a drug that may appear in NHS-approved prescriptions in the future.

The addition of colorants, caffeine and taurine is prohibited.

Regarding packaging warning images submitted in the e-cigarette notice: Northern Ireland still refers to the EU TPD, and Great Britain refers to the warning image in Appendix A1 of the TRPR.
"If your e-cigarette product is sold without nicotine, but can be used to contain nicotine, you must still use: This product contains nicotine which is a highly addictive substance." Warning statement.
