Because the PCT mark can be affixed only after the product has passed the Russian certification to show that the product conforms to the Russian national standards, this process is also known as the Russian PCT certification. To be precise, Russia has the PCT certification mark, but there is no PCT certification. The correct name of PCT certification is GOST certification. After passing the GOST certification, PCT marks can be affixed to the products.

Russian PCT certification is GOST certification, and Russian GOST certification is also GOST-R certification. GOST is the abbreviation of the standard of the former Soviet Union. Many CIS countries have GOST certification, such as Kazakhstan GOST-K certification and Belarus GOST-B certification, but these certification are not the same as Russia GOST certification, which needs the attention of exporters.

Products sold in Russia also need to be marked in Russian, which must include the following items:
