Food contact materials refer to materials that come into direct contact with food, such as plastic containers, metal utensils, paper packaging, etc. If these materials do not meet safety standards, they may release harmful substances and pose a potential threat to human health. Therefore, it is necessary to establish standards for the detection of food contact materials.


According to the GB 4806 standard, the testing of food contact materials mainly includes the following aspects:

Food contact materials/components and raw materials. Products such as pacifiers, bowls and chopsticks, knives and forks, plastic pots, etc

2、 Routine sample requirements

Migration items are provided based on surface area, while content items are provided based on weight in grams. The required quantity depends on the shape, size, and specific testing requirements of the product.
