So, what is the process for obtaining ROHS certification for a neck mounted small fan?

RoHS testing principles

According to the requirements of the EU WEEE&RoHS directive, qualified third-party testing institutions in China split products based on materials and conduct harmful substance testing on different materials. Generally speaking:

Four harmful metal elements such as Cd Cd/Pb Pb/Hg Hg/Cr6+Hexavalent chromium shall be tested for metal materials

In addition to the four harmful heavy metal elements, the plastic material also needs to be tested for Brominated flame retardant (PBB/Polybrominated diphenyl ethers)

At the same time, packaging materials of different materials also need to be tested for heavy metals separately (94/62/EEC)


What products are covered by the ROHS directive?

The RoHS directive applies to the following types of devices:

1. Large household appliances.

2. Small appliance.

3. IT and telecommunications equipment (although infrastructure equipment is tax-free in some countries)

4. Consumer equipment.

5. Lighting equipment - including light bulbs.

6. Electronic and electrical tools.

7. Toys, leisure and sports equipment.

8. Medical devices (exemption cancelled in July 2011)

9. Monitoring and control tools (exemption lifted in July 2011)

10. Automatic distributor

11. Other EEEs not covered by any of the above categories

RoHs Certification Process

1. The writing shall be clear, such as the number 0 and the English alphabet O, the number 5 and the English alphabet S, the number 1 and the English alphabet I, the number 9 and the English alphabet P, the number 2 and the English alphabet Z shall be clearly marked.

2. Clearly fill in the ROHS testing requirements.

3. Clear selection of service nature; Working days are the time for verbal notification of results, excluding holidays, sample delivery, receipt, report printing, and mailing.

4. Clear selection of report retrieval method, fill in the Chinese address for report delivery, so as to accurately send the report.

5. Signature and official seal.

6. For each test, we will provide an English or Chinese report. Please indicate which version is required when filling out the application form;

7. Please fill in the company name, address, and product name in both Chinese and English.
