Recently, Shenzhen Dezewei Technology Testing Co., Ltd. was authorized by the Philippine Bureau of Standards (BPS) and became the first domestic e-cigarette testing laboratory to pass certification.

In 2022, the Philippine Bureau of Standards (BPS) issued the DAO NO.22-06 decree, which included e-cigarette (including heat-not-burn smoke systems) equipment and products in the scope of mandatory product certification of the Philippine BPS. The decree stipulates the certification process and various safety requirements, and will be enforced on January 15, 2024.
