Washington, D.C. - The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has warned consumers to immediately stop using Kopobob children's multifunctional helmets as they cannot protect riders in the event of a collision and pose a risk of head injury. This helmet does not meet the mandatory federal safety standards for impact attenuation and certification requirements of bicycle helmets suitable for multi-purpose use.

Chinese seller Xingde Tui Outdoor has not yet agreed to recall these helmets or provide remedies to consumers.

Kopopob children's multifunctional helmets are sold online on Amazon and other e-commerce websites for prices ranging from $20 to $22. The helmet size for sale is small, suitable for a head circumference of approximately 18.9 to 21.25 inches. The helmet is red with black decoration, equipped with black straps, red and black buckles, and an adjustable rotating dial on the back. The helmet has the words "Kopobob" in black font on both sides. There is a white warning label inside the helmet, which reads "Model: WST-169" and "Made in China".

CPSC tested the Kopobob children's multifunctional helmet based on this warning and determined that the helmet does not comply with federal safety standards. The Consumer Product Safety Commission of the United States urges consumers to immediately stop using, cut the straps, and discard these helmets.
