Smart Bracelet China RoHS Electronic Hazardous Test Report

Date:2026-01-27 09:45:29 Classification :【question】 Visits:
The RoHS certification promoted by China is a requirement of the "Catalogue of Electrical and Electronic Products Subject to Restriction of Hazardous Substances" issued in 2019 by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The relevant information regarding the China RoHS electronic hazardous substance testing report for smart bracelets is as follows:

I. Background and Requirements of Control

Smart bracelets are newly added emerging information technology products in the 2025 revised version of the "Catalogue of Electrical and Electronic Products Subject to Restriction of Hazardous Substances." From August 1, 2027, they will be officially included in the mandatory control scope of China RoHS and must comply with the mandatory national standard GB26572-2025 "Requirements for Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products." Non-compliant products will face removal from shelves and a fine of three times the product value.

II. Testing Basis and Items

1. Testing Standard: The GB/T39560 series standards (equivalent to the international IEC62321) (DEZEW Testing CNAS registration number: L8083) are mandatory, replacing the testing methods previously chosen by the company.

2. Detected Substances (10 types)

Original 6 basic substances: Lead (Pb, ≤1000PPM), Mercury (Hg, ≤1000PPM), Cadmium (Cd, ≤100PPM), Hexavalent Chromium (Cr6+, ≤1000PPM), Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB, ≤1000PPM), Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE, ≤1000PPM);

Added 4 phthalate esters: Diisooctyl Phthalate (DEHP), Butylbenzyl Phthalate (BBP), Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Diisobutyl Phthalate (DIBP).

III. Material Disassembly Requirements

Disassembly and testing at the component level are required (replacing the original finished product level testing). The core materials requiring disassembly for the smart bracelet include:

1. Wristband: Medical-grade rubber/memory rubber;

2. Metal components: Silver-coated metal cap;

3. Electronic components: Lithium battery, vibration motor, motion sensing accelerator, motherboard, sensors, etc.

Different materials and colors require separate testing, significantly increasing testing complexity and cost.

IV. Testing Process

1. After confirming the quotation, sign the case application form and service agreement and pay the fee;

2. Prepare samples of the disassembled components;

3. The testing agency conducts 10 hazardous substance tests according to standards;

4. A formal test report is issued in 5-7 working days (no factory inspection required, simplified process).

V. Testing Fees

The full testing fee for a single smart bracelet is approximately 2000 RMB or more. The increase is due to the expansion of the testing items to 10 types and the increased complexity of component disassembly testing.

VI. Uses of the Testing Report

1. Market Access: A necessary qualification for entering domestic e-commerce platforms and large supermarkets;

2. Compliance Certificate: Required for dealing with inspections by the Administration for Industry and Commerce and market supervision;

3. Business Scenarios: Used for bidding and applying for government environmental subsidies;

4. Alternative Supplement: Can be used as a safety and compliance quality inspection report when a product cannot obtain 3C certification.
