Wired Audio System RoHS Test Report Application Process
Wired audio systems fall under the audio-visual product category and are subject to China's RoHS regulations. The application process is as follows:
Step 1: Sample Submission for Testing
Prepare 2-3 complete sets of finished products.
Provide product manuals, parts list, and material declaration.
Submit to a third-party laboratory with CNAS/CMA accreditation (Dezewei Testing CNAS Registration No.: L8083).
Step 2: Laboratory Testing
Hazardous substance testing is conducted on the homogeneous materials of the product, including:
Lead (Pb) ≤ 0.1%
Mercury (Hg) ≤ 0.1%
Cadmium (Cd) ≤ 0.01%
Hexavalent Chromium (Cr6⁺) ≤ 0.1%
PBB / PBDE ≤ 0.1%
Testing time is approximately 5-7 working days, and the cost is approximately 800-1500 RMB.
Step 3: Report Issuance
Upon successful testing, the laboratory will issue a CNAS/CMA test report.
A Declaration of Conformity can also be applied for.
Step 4: Product Labeling
Qualified products must be affixed with a green environmental protection label (e) or a numerical label (indicating the environmentally friendly service life).
Notes
Wires, solder joints, casings, and other components must be tested item by item. Providing a complete Bill of Materials (BOM) is recommended to improve efficiency.
If the product includes a battery or external power supply, these must also be provided and tested.
Test reports must be kept for at least 5 years for subsequent market supervision and spot checks.
For products in long-term production, it is recommended to sign an annual cooperation agreement with the laboratory to facilitate rapid testing of subsequent models.
