Guidelines for Obtaining a French DGCCRF Testing Report for PET Plastic Bottles

I. Basic Testing Information

Applicable Regulations: French Decree Décret n° 2007-766, EU Regulation 10/2011 (Plastic Food Contact Materials)

Testing Object: PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) plastic bottles

Testing Cycle: Approximately 10-15 working days

Sample Requirements: It is recommended to provide complete finished bottles or samples under simulated use conditions.

II. Main Testing Items

| Testing Category | Specific Items

| Total Migration | Total Migration Amount (simulated solutions such as 10% ethanol, 3% acetic acid, and vegetable oil)

| Specific Migration | Antimony (Sb), Manganese, Phosphorus, and other PET-related substances

| Heavy Metals | Leaching Amount of Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Arsenic, etc.

| Special Requirements | Acetaldehyde Content (Substances of Concern Specific to PET Materials)

| Other Tests | Sensory Testing (Impact of Migrates on Food Flavor)

III. Processing Procedure

1. Preliminary Preparation

1. Clarify Product Intended Use (Which Foods it Contacts)

Compile Product Material Information, Additive List, and Production Process

2. Select a Testing Institution

A laboratory with CMA/CNAS accreditation and testing experience (DEZW Testing CNAS Registration No.: L8083)

Confirm the laboratory's international accreditation

3. Sample Submission and Testing

Provide sufficient samples (usually multiple complete bottles from the same batch)

Fill out the testing application, specifying the testing standards and items

4. Report Acquisition

A test report in both Chinese and English will be issued upon completion of testing.

The report should clearly state compliance with French DGCCRF requirements.

IV. Precautions

The acetaldehyde content in PET bottles is a key focus of the French DGCCRF and requires special confirmation.

Different usage conditions (room temperature/high temperature) correspond to different migration test conditions.

It is recommended that the report also comply with EU requirements. Requirements of 10/2011 to expand the scope of application

If the product has printing or coating, an additional assessment of the migration risk of inks and coatings is required.

V. Common Application Scenarios

Mineral water bottles, beverage bottles

Edible oil bottles, condiment containers

Cosmetic packaging bottles

Friendly reminder: DGCCRF testing has strict regulations on the selection and use conditions of the simulant. It is recommended to fully communicate with the testing agency in advance about the actual use of the product to ensure accurate matching of the testing plan and avoid duplicate testing and waste of resources.
