ETL is the abbreviation of Electrical Testing Laboratories. ETL laboratory was founded by American inventor Edison in 1896, and enjoys a high reputation in the United States and the world. Like UL and CSA, ETL can test and issue ETL certification mark according to UL standard or American national standard, and can also test and issue composite certification mark according to UL standard or American national standard and CSA standard or Canadian standard. The "us" at the bottom right indicates that it is applicable to the United States, the "c" at the bottom left indicates that it is applicable to Canada, and the "us" and "c" at the same time are applicable to both countries.

Factory inspection

ETL needs to carry out factory inspection before issuing the certificate, and then will carry out irregular follow-up factory inspection every quarter. Besides the factory inspection fee, ETL also needs to pay the certificate and license fee quarterly. If necessary, the inspector can witness the retest of the product or the laboratory test after sampling.

The licensee must sign a legal contract (service agreement) with ETL, which clearly stipulates the responsibilities of the manufacturer and the conditions for continuous ETL listing and the use of ETL logo.

Leakage current test after damp state; General test conditions; T= 32+/-2°C, RH= 88 ±2%. Duration; After 48 hours, take it out for leakage current test. Test condition: T=20~30 ° C, RH=93+/- 3%;

Voltage withstand test; Products without double insulation and grounding requirements; 1000 V/1 minute (set the target voltage climb time of the device to 5 seconds, set the cutoff current to 8.3 mA, and then keep it for 1 minute at the target voltage).
