Car insoles EU ROHS testing

Date:2024-07-01 11:52:14 Classification :【question】 Visits:
If car insoles are planned to be sold in the EU market, they do need to undergo ROHS testing to meet relevant environmental protection requirements. ROHS is a mandatory standard established by EU legislation to restrict the use of certain hazardous substances in electronic and electrical products.

1. ROHS 2.0 controlled substances:

There are ten mandatory controlled substances in ROHS 2.0 Appendix II, including lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr6+), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) and new Four additional phthalates.

2. Testing process:

1. Consultation and application: Contact the testing and certification agency for consultation, learn the detailed requirements, and fill out the ROHS certification application form.

2. Select a testing agency: Choose a third-party testing agency with CMA/CNAS qualifications to conduct product testing.

3. Provide samples: Provide samples according to the requirements of the testing agency.

4. Testing: The testing agency splits the samples and detects harmful substances according to the requirements of the ROHS directive.

5. Reports and certificates: After passing the test, the testing agency will issue a ROHS certification report to prove that the product meets the requirements of the ROHS directive.

3. Testing cycle:

The test cycle for ROHS certification is generally shorter, usually around 5 working days.
