EU ROHS certification is a mandatory standard that aims to restrict the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. 1. Certification process

1. Provide product information

2. Determine the certification method

- There are three certification methods: ROHS integration, ROHS scanning + chemical testing, and ROHS chemical testing.

3. Evaluate the quotation

- The certification body evaluates the product materials and certification method and provides a quotation.

4. Confirm the quotation and provide samples and information

- The client confirms and signs the quotation, fills in the application form, provides samples and information, and arranges the payment.

5. Organize the information and issue an integrated report (for finished products)

- If the certification method is ROHS integration, the certification body will organize the information, issue an integrated report and certificate.

6. Arrange product testing (for finished products or parts)

- If the certification method is scanning + chemical testing or ROHS chemical testing, the certification body will arrange product testing.

7. Handle unqualified materials

- If unqualified materials are found during the test, they need to be handled accordingly.

8. Issue test report and certificate

- After the test is passed, the certification body will issue a test report and certificate.

2. Certification and testing standards

- RoHS2.0 (2011/65/EU): This is the latest ROHS directive, which restricts six hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products, including lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).

- Detection methods: including X-ray detection, energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry, etc.

Applicable product range

Although the ROHS directive is mainly aimed at electronic and electrical products, its scope of application is very wide, covering almost all electronic and electrical products and their raw materials. For glass bottles, if they are used for packaging of electronic equipment or as part of electronic equipment, they need to comply with the requirements of the ROHS directive.

3. Precautions
