MSDS is a comprehensive legal document on the characteristics of chemicals provided by chemical production or marketing enterprises to customers according to legal requirements. It provides 16 items, including physical and chemical parameters of chemicals, flammability and explosion properties, hazards to health, safe use and storage, leakage disposal, first aid measures and relevant laws and regulations.


Classification of hazardous materials in MSDS report/SDS report

Although different countries have different regulations on the classification of dangerous goods, they are generally divided into the following 9 categories according to international regulations:

Category 1: explosives;

Category 2: compressed gas and liquefied gas -- 2.1 flammable gas, 2.2 non-flammable gas, 2.3 toxic gas;

Class 3: flammable liquid;

Category 4: flammable solids, natural substances and flammable substances in contact with moisture -- 4.1 flammable solids, 4.2 natural substances, 4.3 substances that release flammable gases in contact with water;

Category 5: oxidants and organic peroxides - 5.1 oxidizing substances, 5.2 organic or oxides;

Category 6: toxic and infectious substances - 6.1 toxic substances, 6.2 infectious substances;

Category 7: radioactive materials;

Category 8: corrosive products;

Category 9: miscellaneous and marine pollutants.
