How long can the electronic cigarette MHRA come down

Date:2023-04-10 09:55:15 Classification :【question】 Visits:
How long can the electronic cigarette MHRA come down? The electronic cigarette MHRA data is complete, and the testing and registration process takes five working days within two weeks. Once your notification is posted on mhra's website, you can launch the product in the notification area. If the notification has been issued, there is no need to wait for the remaining 6 months to place the product in the market in the notification area.

The Tobacco Products and Nicotine Inhalating Products (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 have been introduced.

The 2020 Regulations stipulate the requirement to notify new products starting from January 1, 2021. This will mean:

Producers who launch their products in the Northern Ireland market will be required to use the European Union Common Entry (EU-CEG) system for tobacco and e-cigarette product notifications.

Manufacturers who launch their products in the UK market will be required to notify the UK domestic system.

If the notifier launches the product in one of the markets in Great Britain or Northern Ireland, they will be required to pay a fee. If the notifier launches the product in both markets, they will be required to pay the same fee.

A manufacturer is a person who manufactures or imports these products, or renames any product as their own.

Manufacturers must submit their product information to MHRA through the MHRA submission portal and the European Common Entry (EU-CEG) notification portal for supply within the UK. Starting from August 23rd, products that submit successful notifications through MHRA will be directly formulated on MHRA.

Manufacturers of new e-cigarettes and supplementary container products must submit a notice to MHRA six months before planning to launch their products in the UK and/or Northern Ireland markets. Once your notification is posted on the MHRA website, you can launch the product in the notification area. If the notification has been issued, there is no need to wait for the remaining 6 months before placing the product on the market in the notification area.

Note: To supply products to the UK market, product notifications need to be submitted separately through the EUCEG (Northern Ireland) and MHRA submission portal (UK). That is to say, if you need to sell in both Great Britain and Northern Ireland, you need to submit information notifications separately in both systems.

If the manufacturer has submitted both Great Britain and Northern Ireland notifications for the specific product you are importing, then you do not need to submit duplicate notifications. Similarly, if the manufacturer has notified you of the detailed information of the re labeled product and your brand name is listed in the manufacturer's notification, then you do not need to submit a duplicate notification.

TRPR does not include any requirements regarding where electronic cigarettes and supplementary container products must be tested. The notifying party needs to ensure that the product meets the standards of any testing conducted, so they must submit a statement stating that they are fully responsible for the quality and safety of the product when placed on the market and used under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions.
