Chinese Children's Toy Safety Standard GB6675
At present, the safety standard for toys in China is GB6675-2003 (National Technical Specification for Toy Safety), which is a mandatory national standard. In terms of technical requirements, it is equivalent to ISO8124-1:2000 (Safety Mechanical and Physical Properties of Toys), ISO8124-2:1994 (Safety Burning Performance of Toys), and ISO8124-3:1997 (Migration of Specific Elements for Toy Safety)
The GB 6675 standard applies to all toys, that is, all products or materials designed or intended for children under the age of 14 to play with. Unless otherwise specified, the new standard applies not only to any toys sold in the market (including trial and free gifts) and toys produced and sold domestically, but also to toys that are used normally and can be reasonably abused.
ISO8124-2:1994 (Safety Burning Performance of Toys) and ISO8124-3:1997 (Migration of Safety Specific Elements of Toys) are basically equivalent to EN71-2 (Safety Burning Performance of Toys) and EN71-3 (Migration of Safety Specific Elements of Toys). However, in terms of "mechanical and physical properties", China's toy standards are similar to those of the European Union.
Children's toys GB 6675 mainly include:
Mechanical and physical properties
combustion performance
Migration of specific elements
Toy identification and instructions for use
