What is the European Union ROHS inspection process for partition panels?

Date:2024-02-28 09:40:49 Classification :【question】 Visits:
EU RoHS testing is a test used to detect whether electronic and electrical equipment contains hazardous substances with restricted use. These harmful substances include lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs). The EU RoHS directive requires that electronic and electrical equipment sold on the European market must comply with regulations restricting the use of hazardous substances to ensure the environmental protection and safety of products.

EU ROHS testing process for partition boards:

1. Document preparation: Check the technical documents of the product, including material list, drawings and specifications, etc. Understand the requirements of the ROHS directive and conduct research on testing standards. Determine the sampling volume and testing method for testing.

2. Material sampling: Select representative samples from the products for sampling. Select the appropriate test method based on the characteristics of the product and the requirements of the ROHS directive. Ensure the accuracy and representativeness of the sampling process.

3. Sample testing: Pre-process the samples, including cleaning, decomposition, etc. Samples are analyzed using appropriate testing equipment and methods. Determine the content of harmful substances in the sample.

4. Data analysis: Compare the test results with the requirements of the ROHS directive. Analyze test data to determine whether the product complies with the restrictions of the ROHS directive. Generate test reports that meet requirements.

5. Risk assessment: Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the test results to determine the compliance of the product. Make recommendations for compliance improvements based on test results and assessments.

EU ROHS testing principles:

1. Separate the products according to their materials, and use different materials to detect harmful substances separately. Generally speaking:

2. Metal materials need to be tested for four harmful metal elements such as (Cd cadmium/Pb lead/Hg mercury/Cr6+hexavalent chromium);

3. In addition to checking these four harmful heavy metal elements, plastic materials also need to detect brominated flame retardants (polybrominated biphenyl PBB/polybrominated diphenyl ether PBDE)
