As a children's toy, board games need to be tested according to the GB6675 standard when sold in the Chinese market. GB6675 is China's toy safety standard. It contains multiple parts, each of which stipulates different test items and requirements to ensure the safety of toys. The following is a guide to GB6675 testing of board games:
1. Basic specifications (GB6675.1-2014): This is an overall requirement, including electrical safety, hygiene and radiation conditions, etc., and clarifies the jurisdiction and responsibility for toy safety. It also stipulates the limit requirements for six plasticizers, including DBP, BBP, DEHP, DNOP, DINP, and DIDP.
2. Mechanical and physical properties (GB6675.2-2014): This part focuses on the mechanical damage that the product may cause to consumers, such as choking, pinching, cuts, etc. It also includes testing of acoustic requirements and magnetic component requirements.
3. Flammability (GB6675.3-2014): This part specifies the categories of flammable materials that are prohibited for use in all toys, and stipulates the combustion test requirements for head-worn toys, cosmetics, children's entry toys, and soft-filled toys. .
4. Migration of specific elements (GB6675.4-2014): This part expands the scope of migrating hazardous substances, including accessible coatings, pigments, modeling clay, etc., and specifies 8 elements and 6 phthalates Limits for diformate plasticizers.
5. Toy labels and instructions for use: Ensure that toy product labels are regular, including CCC logos, warnings, applicable age groups, manufacturer information, etc., and require suppliers to produce standardized test reports. The test reports should bear the CNAS and CMA logos. .
6. Electrical safety: If there are electrical components, they must comply with the GB19865 standard, which stipulates that the working voltage of contactable parts of the toy shall not exceed 24V and other requirements.
7. Radiation hazards: Starting from the 2014 version, the standard includes test methods for ionizing radiation and optical radiation, especially for testing of artificial light sources such as LEDs.
Please note that updated versions of the GB6675 standard, such as GB6675.1-202X, are currently soliciting opinions. The existing standards may be updated and revised in the future. Manufacturers should pay attention to the latest developments to ensure compliance.
