Barrier performance testing

Barrier refers to a barrier to the permeability of packaging materials to gases (eg oxygen), liquids (water vapor), etc. Barrier properties are an important factor affecting the quality of a product during its shelf life.


Intensity detection

Strength testing methods include tensile strength of product packaging design materials, composite film peeling strength, heat sealing strength, tear strength, puncture resistance and other indicators.

Tensile strength refers to the material that bears its own large and different stress values before breaking. It can be effectively improved through analysis and detection technology. Because the selected packaging engineering materials have insufficient mechanical movement strength, they are affected by various external forces in China. The peel strength is also called the strength of the composite system. It is used to detect the bonding strength between the layers in the composite film. In the process of product storage and transportation management, once the heat seal strength is too low, it will directly lead to problems such as cracking of the heat seal and leakage of contents. Puncture resistance is an indicator for risk assessment of packaging resistance to puncture by hard objects.


Sealing performance test

The sealing performance test can ensure that the sealing of the whole product packaging is in good condition, preventing the packaging from deteriorating due to leakage caused by poor sealing performance of the product.


Impact resistance test

Test the impact resistance of packaging materials to ensure that the selected packaging materials can effectively protect the product. There are two main test methods for impact resistance: dart impact test and pendulum impact test.


Tear Performance Analysis Test

The packaging of the product may be torn due to external force during storage and transportation. Sufficient tear resistance and expansion force can reduce tear transmission and avoid package leakage.


Coefficient of Friction (>Surface Smoothness)

The inner and outer surfaces of the edible film should be suitably smooth to ensure good opening and smooth transportation and packaging on high-speed production lines.


Thickness measurement

Thickness is the basic capability index for detecting thin films. The uneven thickness distribution will not only directly affect the tensile strength and barrier properties of the film, but also affect the subsequent development and processing of the film.


Solvent Residue Detection

Solvent residues in packaging bags are directly related to the safety of users. To ensure safety, the solvent residues were detected by gas chromatograph.
