The rules for the use of the UKCA logo in the UK, abbreviated as UK Conformity Assessed. On February 2, 2019, the British government announced that it would adopt the UKCA logo scheme in the absence of an agreement to Brexit. After March 29, trade with the UK will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

1. Add UKCA logo

Before January 1, 2023, for most products (excluding those subject to special rules), the UKCA logo can be added to the product label or accompanying documents. Starting from January 1, 2023, in most cases, the UKCA logo must be directly affixed to the product. Therefore, enterprises should start preparing for this.


2. The following are general rules

The UKCA logo can only be affixed to the product by the manufacturer or its authorized representative in the UK (where permitted by law)

When attaching the UKCA logo, the manufacturer assumes full responsibility for whether the product meets the requirements of relevant regulations

◆ Only the UKCA logo can be used to prove that the product complies with relevant UK laws

◆ Do not provide any signs or markings that may misunderstand the meaning or form of the UKCA logo to third parties

◆ Do not paste other signs on the product that affect the visibility, legibility or meaning of the UKCA logo

Unless explicitly required by laws and regulations, the UKCA logo shall not be affixed to the product


3. Rules for using the UKCA logo

The manufacturer must ensure that:

If the size of the logo is reduced or expanded, the relevant proportion of UKCA logo letters must be followed

The height of the UKCA logo should be at least 5 millimeters, unless a different minimum size is specified in relevant regulations

The UKCA logo must be clearly visible
