A document that elucidates the physical and chemical properties of a chemical and the possible hazards to the health of users. The report presents 16 items including physical and chemical parameters of chemicals, explosive performance, health hazards, safe use and storage, leakage disposal, first aid measures and relevant laws and regulations.

What is the ingredient list? What is the CAS number?

When doing the MSDS report of Dezewei, you need to provide an ingredient list, which mainly contains three information contents "chemical name, percentage, CAS number" (as shown in the figure below).

When I see a CAS number in the ingredient list, what does it mean?

The CAS number is a registration number for chemical substances developed by the American Chemical Abstracts Service, which is an important tool for retrieving information on chemical substances with multiple names. It is an 8-only 1-digit identification number of a substance (compound, polymer material, biological sequence (Biological se), mixture or alloy.

CAS, a subordinate organization of the American Chemical Society, is responsible for assigning a CAS number to each substance that appears in the literature. Almost all chemical databases today allow searching by CAS numbers. As of December 25, 2005, CAS has registered new data on 27,115,156 substances, and it is also increasing at a rate of more than 4,000 per day.

Format: A CAS number is divided into three parts with a hyphen "-", the first part has 2 to 6 digits, the second part has 2 digits, and the third part has 1 digit as a check code.

Isomers, enzymes and mixtures: Different isomer molecules have different CAS numbers, such as 50-99-7 for D-glucos and 921 for L-glucose -60-8, α-D-glucose is 26655-34-5. Occasionally there is a class of molecules with a CAS number, such as a group of alcohol dehydrogenase (Alcohol dehydrogenase) CAS numbers are 9031-72-5. The CAS number for a mixture such as mustard oil is 8007-40-7.

How to query the CAS number of the chemical name of the ingredient list?

The general query method is to enter "CAS number query" in the browser, enter each website that can be queried, and enter the chemical name to query, as shown in the figure below.

Note: When the CAS number cannot be found by entering the chemical name, it can be found on other search websites.
