Date:2023-07-25 10:59:29 Classification :【question】 Visits:
According to the LFGB testing report from Germany, there are some potential health risks in plastic milk bottles. Firstly, certain chemicals in plastic milk bottles may penetrate into the milk powder and be ingested by infants. These chemicals include bisphenol A (BPA) and Phthalate, which are considered to be potentially harmful to the development and health of infants. Secondly, the manufacturing process of plastic feeding bottles may produce harmful substances, such as Benzopyrene (PAHs) and phenol (Phenol), which also pose a potential threat to human health.

1. What is LFGB in Germany?

LFGB is an important basic legal document in the management of food hygiene in Germany, serving as the guideline and core for the formulation of other specialized food hygiene laws and regulations. In recent years, the LFGB regulations have also been modified, mainly to match the new EU standards. The LFGB regulations provide general and basic safety requirements for food and various daily necessities in contact with it, and all food and food related daily necessities in the German market must comply with the basic regulations on LFGB.

Daily necessities or related materials in contact with food that have passed LFGB testing and comply with the German Food and Daily Necessities Law can be certified as "products without chemical toxic substances" by an authorized institution through an LMBG/LFGB testing report, and are allowed to be sold in the German market.

2. The meaning of the LFGB knife and fork logo can be added to products tested by LFGB

The LFGB knife and fork logo is a food safety symbol. If there is an LFGB knife and fork mark on daily necessities that come into contact with food, it means that the product has passed LFGB testing and meets German and European standards, meets the requirements of German LFGB regulations, proves that it does not contain toxic substances that pose a threat to human health, and can be sold in German and other European markets. In the European market, products with the LFGB knife and fork logo can enhance customers' confidence and purchasing desire, and are a powerful market tool that can greatly increase the competitiveness of products in the market.

3. Product scope covered by LFGB testing

The common LFGB testing is mainly aimed at materials that come into contact with food, that is, those that come into direct or potential contact with food must meet the testing requirements of LFGB, so there is no clear product scope limit for LFGB testing.

According to the existing LFGB regulations and laboratory testing capabilities, the LFGB testing conducted by Lexus Testing Company mainly falls into the following eight categories:

LFGB testing for plastic products - LFGB testing for ceramic and glass products - LFGB testing for rubber and silicone rubber products - LFGB testing for textiles - LFGB testing for metal products - LFGB testing for bamboo and wood products - LFGB testing for coating products - LFGB testing for paper products.

4. LFGB testing includes testing items and specific testing requirements for common materials

In general, Articles 30 and 31 of the German Food and Commodity Law of LFGB include the following testing items:

(1) Initial inspection of samples and materials by German LFGB testing

(2) Sensory evaluation of odor and taste transfer German LFGB certification

(3) Plastic samples: testing for transferable components and testing for heavy metals that can be precipitated. LFGB testing in Germany

(4) Metals: Testing of Composition and Extractable Heavy Metals by German LFGB

(5) Silicone resin: Testing of transferable or volatile organic compounds - German LFGB report

(6) Special materials: chemical hazard inspection according to German Chemical Law
