For a long time in the past, the electronic cigarette market has been in a state of "three nots" without product standards, production supervision and product safety rating. With the introduction of the national standard GB41700-2022 of Electronic Cigarette, which will be enforced on October 1, 2022, this is undoubtedly a good start to rectify the electronic cigarette market. The national standard of Electronic Cigarette GB41700-2022 mainly regulates the electronic cigarette set, atomization and emission of electronic cigarette.
Test items and standard requirements of electronic cigarette and cigarette set:
1. Anti-filling: electronic cigarette sets and cartridges using electronic cigarette liquid shall have a closed structure to prevent artificial filling
2. Anti-leakage liquid: electronic cigarette holder and cigarette cartridge using electronic cigarette liquid shall have good sealing performance and shall not leak liquid
3. Start protection: the electronic cigarette set shall have the protection function of preventing children from starting and preventing accidental starting
4. Temperature of atomization area: not higher than 350 ℃
5. Waterproof: It shall meet the IPX4 protection grade requirements in Chapter 6 of GB/T4208-2017
6. Pressure relief safety: when the internal pressure of the electronic cigarette set is caused by the battery failure, the pressure relief direction shall not be the same as the suction direction
7. Drop strength: the electronic smoke shall not ignite and explode after falling
Test items and standard requirements of aerosol:
1. Nicotine: the concentration of nicotine in the aerosol shall not be higher than 20mg/g, and the total amount of nicotine shall not be higher than 200mg
2. Impurities and pollutants: 2.3 - butanedione ≤ 22.0mq/kg, heavy metal (calculated by Pb) ≤ 10mg/kg, arsenic (calculated by As) ≤ 3 mg/kg

The national standard GB41700-2022 of Electronic Cigarette stipulates that electronic cigarettes and other new tobacco products shall comply with the mandatory national standards for electronic cigarettes by referring to the relevant provisions of these Regulations on cigarettes. Electronic cigarette products sold on the market must meet the national standards. Products and services that do not meet the mandatory standards will not be produced, sold, imported or provided.
