On 3 August 2022, the UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) published Bulletin 0063/22, proposing to update the list of specified standards for the UK Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011 (S.I. 2011 No. 1881). This proposal will be implemented on September 1, 2022, unless the proposal is withdrawn or amended before this date.
The update involves six toy standards, EN 71-2, EN 71-3, EN 71-4, EN 71-7, EN 71-12 and EN 71-13.
The full list of designated standards to which the proposed UK Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011 (S.I. 2011 No. 1881) refer (from 1 September 2022) is as follows:
