SOR/2011-17 is Canada's toy safety standard, which includes but is not limited to the following requirements: packaging, mechanical injury, electrical injury, hearing injury, thermal and flammable injury, toxic injury, and special toy requirements.

1. Packaging: Packaging must comply with standard regulations, including packaging materials, structure, logos, etc.

2. Mechanical injury: The mechanical structure of wooden toys must comply with standard regulations and will not cause injuries such as pinches or cuts.

3. Electrical injury: The electrical parts of wooden toys must comply with standard regulations and will not cause injuries such as electric shock.

4. Hearing damage: The sound of wooden toys must comply with standards and not cause hearing damage.

5. Heating and flammable injuries: Wooden toys must be non-flammable and not cause fire or other injuries.

6. Toxic harm: The materials and coatings of wooden toys must comply with standards and will not cause toxic harm.

7. Special toy requirements: Depending on the specific type and use of wooden toys, other specific requirements may also need to be met.



Wooden toys Canada SOR/2011-17 testing process:

1. Submit application: Select a laboratory authorized by the certification body for testing, and submit the application form and relevant information.

2. Sample testing: The laboratory conducts comprehensive testing and evaluation of samples, including physical properties, chemical properties, electrical safety performance, flammability, health and safety and other aspects. Tests such as age suitability and compliance with warning signs will also be conducted.

3. Test report: After the test is completed, the laboratory will issue a CCPSA test report, which details whether the product meets the requirements of the SOR/2011-17 standard as well as existing problems and suggestions.
