REACH is an EU regulation on the registration, evaluation, licensing and restriction of chemicals. It is a regulatory proposal related to the safety of chemical production, trade and use. It limits the use and content of toxic and harmful substances within REACH regulations, aiming to protect human health and environmental safety, maintain and improve the competitiveness of the European chemical industry, as well as the innovative ability to develop non-toxic and harmless compounds, and prevent market fragmentation, Increase the transparency of chemical use, promote non animal experiments, and pursue sustainable social development. The chemical supervision system implemented on June 1, 2007.
SVHC detection refers to the content detection of substances controlled by SVHC in REACH regulations.
REACH test items
According to the requirements of REACH Certification Regulation 1907/2006/EC, if the following two conditions are met, the producers and importers shall report to the European Chemical Administration (ECHA):
1. The concentration of substances of high concern (SVHC) in the product exceeds 0.1%;
2. The amount of substances of high concern (SVHC) contained in the products of producers/importers exceeds 1 ton/year.
REACH Registration Method
REACH Directive means that substances with an annual production or import volume of more than 1 ton in the EU must be registered. Therefore, substances exported from China to the EU must be registered in the following ways:
1、 Set up branches in the EU.
2、 Entrust a legal person or natural person within the EU to register REACH.
3、 Entrust a domestic agency to register REACH, which has branches abroad.
Considering the above three situations, the first one has the largest cost and involves the most links. Most enterprises are unable to do so. The second is entrusted to foreign agents, which has the advantage that foreign agents have strong technical force and are easy to obtain the downstream market information of EU. The third advantage of entrusting domestic agents is that the cost is relatively low, it is easy to obtain product information of domestic upstream chemical enterprises, and it is easy to resolve disputes over intellectual property rights and agency affairs.
Enterprises can choose according to their own actual conditions.
