Why halogen test? Halogen test items and standards
Halogen ingredients are mainly related to green initiatives in the EU market, which are aimed at non environmental substances and are usually of obvious danger. With regard to halogen content, especially chlorine, fluorine, bromine, iodine and astatine elements, it is used in the production of plastics and electronic products, such as PVC and Teflon. During the manufacturing process, halogens are usually added to the components to ensure that the products can withstand high temperatures and flames. However, these are salifying compounds with high activity and low melting point. For example, fluorine is a gas with high reactivity and is used as refrigerant, aerosol spray, rocket fuel and toothpaste. Chlorine is commonly used to clean swimming pools, as well as as bleach and disinfectant. It is also used for electronic components, if ignited, it will produce toxic gases. Iodine is used in halogen lamps to prolong the service life of the filament. Bromine is used for flameproof, insecticide and paint. Chalone is also highly unstable and radioactive.
