Saudi Arabia issued the SASO RoHS in 2021. After small household appliances, this regulation has also been enforced for household appliances. Before relevant products enter the Saudi Arabian market, in addition to meeting the requirements of its own technical regulations, It shall also meet the limit requirements of hazardous substances and provide RoHS test report to the certification authority.

Household appliances: including all small/large household appliances that belong to the definition of electronic and electrical equipment (EEE).

1-A small household appliances, compulsory implementation from July 4, 2022

Ice cream machine, yogurt machine, pressure cooker, equipment for sewing, knitting, textile and other textile processing operations, other cleaning devices, vacuum cleaner, food processing machine, electric knife, other kitchen machines, juicer, mixer, floor processor and wet washer, grinding mill, iron and other appliances for ironing, coloring and other clothing care, toaster, frying pan, kettle, coffee machine and tea maker Steam bath, hand and face dryers, other household appliances for hair, nails, skin, body care and body massage, clocks and watches, and equipment for measuring, indicating or recording time.

1-B large household appliances, oven covers, fans, air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, appliances for cooling, storing and storing food, microwave ovens, dishwashers, washing machines, household appliances for handling clothes (washing, ironing, drying, cleaning), dehumidifiers, stoves, ovens, electric hot plates, heating devices, electric incense burners, water heaters, boilers and other sanitary appliances will be enforced from October 2, 2022.

Note: non-household appliances that are dangerous to the public (such as those used by the public in shops, light industry and farms) should be included in this category; It shall also be included when the gas and electrical appliances have electrical connections with primary or secondary functions (such as clock, ignition, etc.).

In addition, the communication and information technology equipment will be forced to implement RoHS requirements on December 31. Customers are kindly requested to make preparations in advance and include RoHS reports in technical documents as soon as possible to avoid export obstruction.
