RoHS regulations do not specify a reporting validity period, but generally businesses default to a one-year validity period. RoHS focuses on chemical testing of toxic and harmful substances in raw materials, and there are issues with product raw material batches. This means that the testing batches meet the RoHS testing limit requirements. If different batches or suppliers are replaced, it cannot guarantee the consistent compliance of the materials.

There are three situations where RoHS reports need to be updated:

1. The EU has issued a new RoHS directive;

2. There are changes to the product, such as changes in production processes, production processes, materials, or suppliers;

3. The purchaser will require product related reports to be valid for one year, and even require testing to be only valid for each batch of goods. The purpose is to continuously monitor the stability of the supplier's products, which depends entirely on the buyer's requirements.

Differences between China RoHS and EU RoHS

Six RoHS tests in China are currently voluntary. Ten EU RoHS tests, including four additional ortho benzene tests, are mandatory. Export to the European Union and use RoHS 2.0. Domestically use RoHS as the national standard.
