Members of the Golden City, Colorado, Congress voted 6-0 this week to approve an amendment that bans the sale of flavored Electronic cigarette and other tobacco products.

According to media reports, lawmakers listened to nearly an hour and a half of public comments before voting on the proposed regulations.


Decree No. 2216 revised the municipal regulations of the city, revised the commercial regulations and licensing requirements for nicotine and tobacco product retailers, and prohibited the sale of flavored tobacco products within the city.


The initial effective date of the new law is September 1, 2023. The council has decided to modify the date to January 1, 2024.
